An obituary (my copy) for my brother, Timmy Lee Stafford Some corrections I'm adding: The half-sibling's name was Frieta (not Frieda) Joyce Carpenter at the time. Also, Margaret Arene (ANDERSON) Tidwell is the correct name for the maternal grandmother. Timmy had one child(Laura Beth). Amy, Tina, and Jeffery were his stepchildren.
Timmy died in a head-on collision on Dec 14, 2004, in Opelika, Lee County, Alabama on Hwy 51; halfway between the Beauregard area(his home) and city limits. The cause is unknown. The blood test showed negative for any trace of drugs, medication, or alcohol.
I am the only full sibling of Timmy Lee Stafford and the sole survivor of our family of four which consisted of me, Timmy, Van Dow Stafford, and Ethel (Biggs) Stafford. To preserve the memory of my late brother, I have uploaded an obituary in the form of a .jpg in the photo gallery. I have made some corrections to the original obituary, including correcting the half-sibling's name to Frieta instead of Frieda and updating the name of the maternal grandmother to Margaret Arene (Anderson) Tidwell.
Timmy had one daughter, Laura Beth (Stafford) who was 15 years old at the time of his passing. He did not have any biological grandchildren but was a step-grandfather to Amy, Tina, and Jeffery's children. In addition to the obituary, I have also uploaded several personal photos of Timmy and me during our childhood.
Timmy and I were raised by our paternal grandparents, Van D. Stafford, and Ethel (Biggs) Stafford. We grew up in a household of just four of us, but we did get to spend time with our extended family during summer vacations and weekends. We lived in Tennessee during our early years, moved to Franklin, Simpson County, Kentucky during our preteen to early teen years, and eventually settled in Gainesboro, Jackson County, Tennessee.
Our Stafford family hails from Gainesboro, and we returned there because our grandfather, Van Stafford, wanted to be closer to his mother, who was in declining health, and his sister. During our time in Gainesboro, Timmy and I got to spend time with our great-grandmother and great-aunt and loved hearing their stories about their childhood and family events. Our paternal great-grandfather, Woody C. Biggs, lived with us for some time until his death from a long-term illness.

The pair even cohabitated for some time. The relationship started when Timmy was 16 and Faye was 28 years old. This development occurred when Timmy moved into the house where Faye and her husband, Donald Ray Reeves (B:1944-D:2012), lived, as he required a temporary place to stay. --------------------------
