The announcement of my parent's divorce was discovered in the "divorces" section of The Franklin Favorite newspaper(September 26, 1968, on page 20.)

The divorce of P. J. Stafford and Doris Ann (Tidwell) Stafford was reported in the newspaper, The Franklin Favorite in Franklin, Kentucky. Clipping uploaded by their daughter, Tammy Jean (Stafford) Bellflower.

A note to clarify the misreport:

My parent's divorce was published in The Franklin Favorite newspaper on September 26, 1968 (page 20). However, the newspaper incorrectly reported that my father had divorced my mother on the grounds of 'cruel and inhuman treatment.' In reality, my mother initiated the divorce due to my father's mistreatment and abandonment, as conveyed by my father and other family members.
